I moved to New York from Brazil and was spending $20 a day on lunch with nowhere beautiful to carry it. So I did what any Brazilian daughter would do, I called my mom.

She went into our family factory — a factory my family has had in Brazil for over 30 years — and pulled out a bag design from the 90s.

We revamped it together on a video call. Me in New York, her in Brazil. We started selling it as a lunch tote. Then the girls wouldn't stop asking: "but wait...can I just wear this everywhere?" So we upgraded it to an everyday bag, but kept the cool secret. The whole inside is still insulated.

That bag became The Daily.
